IV Guard

I.V. Guard is a sterile protection

system for an I.V. catheter site. I.V.

Guard is a breathable and water

proof combination of bio-film and

foam adhesive. A unified

combination of film and foam

adhesive ensures catheter stability

and asepsis when placed securely

over the I.V. catheter wound site.

The adhesive bio-film is transparent

for wound site observation. The

heavy adhesive on the foam border

allows patients to maintain their

everyday lifestyle. The extra foam

adhesive strips can be used for

securing the I.V. tubing.

The MedSource IV Safety Catheter is

designed to reduce hit-and-miss

insertion attempts by immediately

confirming vessel entry, enabling

you to stay focused on the insertion

site. The unique design allows you

to see the blood within the catheter

before it reaches the flash chamber.

After insertion, with the press of a

button, the needle instantly retracts

into the barrel chamber helping

reduce needle sticks and making

sharps disposal easier.

Site-Loc Transparent Dressing

The MedSource Site-Loc Transparent

Dressing has a unique non-adhesive tab

that facilitates application and the

notched dressing frame promotes a firm

seal around the catheter lumen. Site-Loc

is a transparent film dressing that may be

used to protect a percutaneous I.V.

catheter or small wound site. This

waterproof dressing provides a

breathable barrier for outside

contamination like bacteria and virus

and allows for wound site observation.

The breathable film allows moisture,

vapor, and oxygen exchange that may

help promote asepsis at the wound site.
